Have tried the file associations - that was not it! Nothing was asking for
Realplayer, it was all open source. I don't know what file type is involved,
but something audio-visual. It is what is needed to use the BBC iPlayer. It
has been asking for Realplayer.
I had been having the same problem on my own Debian Lenny box, so I went over
to it to fiddle around there a bit. Blow me, after the last update iPlayer
is working.
Perhaps the solution in Kubuntu is to tell the owner to wait for an update to
put everything right again??!
Thanks
