Localhost

I am trying to get localhost to run on my computer (Kubuntu Hardy). No 
success so far. I have downloaded the program to my HD and run 
./localhost. It seems to run and opens the browser,(FF3) but cannot 
connect to localhost. Message, failed to connect.

I have checked about:config for Ipv6 and it is not disabled, so it is 
on. Could that be relevant?

Any help gratefully received.
