no "upgrade available" notification

Sorry, but I think I *have* said that I've done this. I would refer to the
e-mail ID à la IETF but I got into trouble last time I did that here. So,
simply quoting:

So, unsurprisingly:

"kde-upgrade-notifier -u" responds with "no upgrade available" :-(
