Kmail - how to resize columns

There were column issues with kontact but they were resolved by 4.2, I just 
tested mine and can't replicate them, but thats with kde 4.3

2 Suggestions:

1 - Upgrade to KDE 4.3 by activating the backports repository. Its worth doing 
in general, 4.3 is so much better!

2 - if problems persist you probably have cruft in your .kde folder, try 
renaming it to something else and rebooting.
