To not show certain users in KDM:
System Settings --> Advanced --> Login Manager --> Users --> Excluded users

To make sure they can 't login, edit /etc/passwd and change their shell to 
/bin/false
for example:
alvin:x:1000:1000:Alvin Demeyer,,,:/nonexistent:/bin/false
