To install the latest and greatest binary driver from nVidia, you can
install the nvidia-glx-180 package. You can do this from the command
line by typing:

sudo apt-get install nvidia-glx-180

To get to a command line, you can do one of two things: boot your
machine up in recovery mode (when grub asks, select your favorite
kernel in recovery mode). Alternatively, you _might_ be able to get a
console by pressing CTRL+ALT+F1 when your machine goes crazy after
booting up, although the first way is a sure bet.
