change default save location in KDE file dialogues

How can I get the Save and Save As dialogues to NOT default to 
Home/Documents folder as location?

I have several users who regularly mess up in that they think they are 
in their Home folder when they save and then later can not find stuff 
(or subfolders) when they look in Home.

One even managed to save a full copy of all contents in Home in 
Home/Documents...

In D3lphin I can remove the Documents location from the Bookmarks folder 
easily but the dialogues is another story altogether - have looked 
everywhere I can think of.
