How do I remove the confirmation window from trash? " Do you really want to empty trash?"

Martin,

I am mentally disabled, but not in the legal sense. I don't know how to do
the things I want to do, but I am not really crazy, I don't think. But if I
were, would I know.

I can't seem to get used to letting the computer empty trash automatically
upon closing the program or shutting down the system .

I am continually filling my drives to maximum, them unloading them and
generating new space. I do it often enough to have established a constant
practice of deleting temp files, reducing space waste every way I am able.
When the drives are low on data, I still find myself dumping trash files. As a
result, I probably click on that 'yes I really want to empty trash' hundreds
of more times than the average guy.

My real problem is that I can't understand why that last minute feature
exists. I can't remember ever reconsidering my choice, when I wanted to empty
the trash. I always want to empty the trash when I engage the feature.

I almost wish I hadn't entered the post, because obviously my desire is not
common or even popular. Believe it or not, I have been living with this
irritation for over 15 years. I didn't like it with Win 95 or XP either, but
each time I post the preference, no one ever posts a conclusion yes or no it
is not possible, I only get responses where people cannot understand why I
would need or want something like that.

One of these days I will learn how to write a little program that turns it off.
I think that is the only way I will succeed. Thanks for trying to help
though.

Steven
