You know, I had that instruction in the first message and took it out because 
I thought it might be confusing.  On my machine it is to hit the ESC button 
very early in the boot sequence.  That will then give you your grub menu.  
Just click on the previous kernel and it will boot into that one instead of 
the top one.  This is also the menu you would use if you were dual booting 
with windows.
