Were Intrepid updates the reason I lost my sound on the Intrepid partition?

Just rename /home/steven/.kde/share/config/dragonplayerrc to
/home/steven/.kde/share/config/dragonplayerrc.2009-02-22 (for example)

Hard to say what (if anything) was wrong before.
And if it didn't change anything, I should then change

If the newly generated file is identical to
/home/steven/.kde/share/config/dragonplayerrc.2009-02-22 , you can
delete dragonplayerrc.2009-02-22 .
