How do I unite cd1 to cd2? Is Kino the tool?

Dear Matt,

I tried the GUI avidemux and I remember something that paused me.  I am 
thinking that possibly the movie O Jerusalem may have been a .rar.  When 
using the GUI and trying to get it to work, I had to open the files like 
opening a rar.  Is it possible my failure is because I have been trying .avi, 
which is the dominant form I save movies when it may be a .rar.  Avimerge 
wouldnot work with a .rar, would it?
