Keyboard shortcut for applications menu

Hello,

i'm using kubuntu 8.04 (with KDE3.5.10).
impressed by kickoff in kde4(on another machine), I installed tastymenu 
to kde3.
After some time i decided to move back to standard menu.
I removed tastymenu applet and  added "K menu" to my kicker, but for 
some reason it didn't open when i press ALT+F1 shortcut.

I tried to change shortcut in "system settings" to something else - but 
that didn't work either :(


any ideas?
