Kubuntu 8.10 does not recognise external HD with NTFS and FAT32 partitions.

Hmm, I can't figure out about this 'no sense' and 'no additional sense' feedback.
On my external HD, I receive sense information consisting of numbers.
What happens if you try to mount the FAT partition with 'mount /dev/sdg2 /mnt/test -t
vfat' (to do this, you must first create /mnt/test).
It will probably not work, but it then produces some error messages . .
