I did some experimenting over the weekend, and it's not that the flash
plugin isn't installed and working. It works fine on youtube, for example.
It plays youtube videos from inside FF, and happily reports that it's
version 10.
It doesn't work on the BBC, though (all I get is the little spinning circle
thingy circling forever) -- here, for example:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/hi/the_p_word/newsid_8076000/8076821.stm.
(This isn't the same as when I try to play restricted content from the BBC;
in that case I get the expected message about the content not being
available outside the UK.)
