Fonts with black background in Grace

Recently I installed ubuntu 9.04 and installed Grace.  However, the fonts were displayed with black background!! but when I save the graph the same fonts look O.K.  I use HPV185w LCD monitor.  When I changed the monitor to a CRT monitor, the fonts look normal. Can any body help me in solving this problem.
