upgrade 8.04 -> 9.04+kde3: how?

One particular place.
When I right-click on a file in konqueror, I had a multitude of
options in kde3 and probably around zero to three in kde4.

Another.
When I stop over some texts not completely visible,
it appears totally in a yellow popup.
