Konqueror is still a file manager. That never went away.

There is no plan to remove the file manager from Konqueror. In fact,
as Dolphin gains new features, so will Konqueror. If any features are
missing from KDE 3, then let me know what they are and I will file
feature requests.

The moaning and graoning is welcome. KDE 3 had a lot of little details
that made it great. It is the KDE 3 holdouts who moan and groan who
are perceptive enough to see the difference in the little details.
Please, keep moaning and groaning, but be specific! When you see
something that you don't like, let me know! But be specific and
constructive.

Thanks.
