Is there virus removal software for Jaunty KDE

It's been a while, so I am not sure, but I think I probably clicked on it, 
when I first tried to activate it.  Just now, I tried to boot to it and it was 
not recognized at all.

I have never verified an application prior to download, how do you do that?
