I can't answer your question because I'm not using 4.3 Beta but I 
thought I'd mention that I have been using Krusader to help me transfer 
files between my computers. There is a menu option, something like 
Network connection. When you select that option a box shows up where you 
can choose how you want to connect to the other computer, ftp, fish, 
sftp are the options I remember. Just enter a little more information 
and you can connect, as long as the other computer is set up to let you 
connect.

Krusader is a dual panel file manager so if you don't want to work from 
the command line it seems like a good alternative.
