Ubuntu or Kubuntu

The biggest reason that I only used Ubuntu until about a year ago is Adept.
I didn't know that you could use Synaptic in Kubuntu by just installing one
package. When I found that out, I started to see Kubuntu and Ubuntu at about
the same level.
I think that GNOME has a lot of pretty good applications, while KDE has a
few amazing applications and some horrifyingly terrible ones. If you can get
your hands on the best of GNOME while using KDE (or the best of KDE while
using GNOME), then you can whichever you think looks nicer. When it comes
down to it, there's not a great difference - on the inside, they're all
Linux (in fact, on the inside, they're all Ubuntu).
Have a good one!
