Lost sound control after yesterday's updates - Solved!

Make sure that Master volume,PCM and mainvolume are not muted.if any is muted, you will not get any sound.

I managed to get things working again by right-clicking on the speaker icon and choosing 'Select
Master Channel...'. I then checked the 'Master Channel'.
