open as root in dolphin

Whenever i try to open any folder as root in dolphin i get this error mesage in what can be called the status bar of the new dolphin window that pops up: 
Cannnot start process.Cannot talk to klauncher. Launcher helper exited with unknown code 1.

can anybody help out?
