I have 8.04 with all its updates however, if I say apt-get install qt, it
says no such package available. Trying to Google give you 22000 hits of
completely worthless information as per normal. trying to find version only
gives you the Ubuntu version you are using and it isn't even called version!
Also Google advice. I suppose since I have installed all upgrades to 8.04
that I have the latest version of QT available to this Ubuntu distro. I
suspect the kernel update awhile back as the culprit but so far have nor been
able to get any answers on that one either.

What version of hplip do you suppose to be the one to use for an 8.04 install
of Kubuntu? When I do a sudo apt-get install hplip it says I have the latest
version but does not of course tell what that version is.
