So it can!  I thought that was virtualized, too, but:

     *-cpu
          product: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual  CPU  T3400  @ 2.16GHz
          vendor: Intel Corp.
          physical id: 1
          bus info: cpu at 0

Which is indeed my CPU.  Funny thing is, it also sees both cores, though I'm
pretty certain it can only use one.
