Unfortunately on this box, I cannot get kmail to work, but I am sure it
exists in thunderbird. I see the logic. Thanks so very much. When I
fix it in Thunderbird I will post the result, even give you a credit, if
you like. Actually I have done this before. It is kind of like a
sliver under your fingernail.

By the way, I built a new computer and installed Jaunty in it. If you
haven't done that yet, at least for me, more stable than Intrepid, and
it solved my Kmail problem. You won't believe it; I clicked on
configuration, clicked a couple of buttons and it was configured. 15
seconds tops, and finally I have my favorite email program again. Oh,
and I have one of nVidia's 780a chips and a fair video card, and the
result from clicking a button to update my video driver took me from an
excellent video to a breathtaking result. The clarity and definition,
the color, the 3D effects, it makes you think you could put your hand
right into the monitor. Unbelievable.

From what I heard, when it releases it may be 100% GUI, which means
direct competition with Microsoft. So who is going to pay for a lesser
product especially when the better product is free? I'd sell my
Microsoft stock even if it is at a low. And for those who are attracted
to beautiful features, Jaunty is fabulous. I have been an artist my
whole life so I appreciate things like that more than perhaps a hacker,
but even a hacker enjoys a good sunset. Thanks again Lindsay!
