Namaskar Samir ...you might want to check out gOS (Good OS) which I just
installed on what I call "Mom's Machine", a Cyrix PII and a iddy biddy
video adapter on the motherboard ... an ancient E-Machine. It IS Ubuntu
based, which is good! But it is light-weight and good for older machines
and laptops. I couldn't get kubuntu to install at all on it. I prefer
Kubuntu, on my larger server machine, as I like KDE as my desktop, but
for an older machine with minimum RAM, best not break your own heart
trying it. gOS will fit on a CD and still be a full featured install,
complete with Open Office. Just google on gOs and it comes up as the
first pick. Enjoy! You'll still be in the Ubuntu family. Ric (Rakesh is
my Ananda Marga given name for Yoga studies) Namaskar.
