Kubuntu 9.04 (ppc)

Generally working well for me but, after I installed 'Imagemagick' ... I 
cannot get it to run.  Have others got a work-around??  When I type 'display' 
... it thinks for a while and then stops.  When I try to run it from a 
terminal ... it bleats about not being able to open a display.  Is this a 
permissions problem??
