Well, they didn't _have_ to rewrite all their software from the ground up -
Kontact is a clear example, since it mostly hasn't changed. So, yes, they
did strip functionality.

Looks like GTK. I'm really not sure, since I stopped using Ubuntu's eclipse
ages ago as it's horrendously outdated.
