Sound issue!

Some things you could look at.
Open up System settings-> Multimedia and make sure that you have the
right sound card as the first option for every category, if you have
pulsadio move it to the bottom.
Run alsamixer from konsole and make sure master, pcm, surround or
whatever you need is turned up and not muted.
