Network connection

Well, the wire does not work. I see my orange lamp next to the socket on, but 
that's all. The cable itself is fine -- I checked it already.

Finally I manage to set up wireless connection.  However each time I need to 
connect, it takes some 5-10 times to click on 'connect', to wait some 2-3- 
minutes in between and not to get the IP address assigned, which is annoying. 
Previously I was just booting, entering the password and -- boom, got 
connected.
