I have an Acer Aspire One, 8GB SSD edition. The big advantage is that being SSD it's completely silent. I runs Kubuntu netbook OK. It has two SSD slots that you can use to expand the storage.

The big downside of the SSD is that it is sloooooow. So, so slow. Reading from the disc is fast enough but writing to it takes forever. The external SSDs are faster but you can't boot from them. You can put your home directory on one though.

The mouse button positioning is a bit screwy and the trackpad is a bit poor. Otherwise I like it. It's a little smaller and lighter than the EEE, but unless you fork out for one of the large aftermarket batteries, you'll be lucky to get 2 hours run time out of it.
