I maybe don't understand what you mean by "tree view", since I can't see how
you'd replace the old tree view with split windows, but you can certainly
get something like the 3.5 konqueror tree view by selecting in the
configuration: "View Modes", "Details" and check the "Expandable folders"
box (that's in 4.3 - istr it was slightly different in 4.2, but it was the
only checkbox in the "Details" view setting.
