kubuntu 9.10 - No X after Kubuntu splash

Hi,
	
I use version 9.10 for a while without much problems...until now.

After a recent upgrade, i have no longer a X-screen after the Kubuntu progress bar. It looks like the system is trying several times but no screen comes up.
(Pressing the shutdown hardware-button does correctly shutdown te system.)

I did a sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg, but no result...
What can i do?
