The only outcome of this test is "hd0,1".

I do intend intend to repartition the big Linux HD: one bigger with a
stable production partition with Kubuntu 9.10 and a smaller
experimental partition for Kubuntu 10.04 Lucid. When Kubuntu 10.04
will be stable enough, I will upgrade the production partition in a
later stage.
But for now, I first would like to somehow access the hard disk in
order to compress from there to an external HD
* all the data files to an external hard disk - especially some recent ones....
* the KAdressbook.
When working with the live CD of Kubuntu 9.10, I do manage to access
the Windows and Kubuntu 7.10 partitions. I can see also from there the
files and folders from the 9.10 partition. But I do not manage to
access to them. That's why I am wondering if the live version of some
other distro could help me to access the 9.10 partition - e.g. "Puppy
Linux" or "Knoppix".
Respectfully yours,
Bas.
