Akonadi & 10.04

I am running XFCE on an AMD64 machine.   When I originally loaded the beta 
when it was first announced,  akonadi would not run.  And when it died with 
errors, it would take Kmail with it.  That was a showstopper.

I tried using apt-get or aptitude to install some of the things that were 
supposedly missing (based on the akonadi error log)  but they couldn't resolve 
the issue.    I finally used syaptics to solve the issue and it did a great 
job.   And I also run several  I386 machines on 10.4  and none of them have 
the problem.

Don't know what else to tell you.
