I am surprised you did not get x number of replies to this one...
If you live in the US you can buy preconfigured from System76 and some
others. They come with Ubuntu Gnome but it should not be a problem to
configure KDE on them.
Otherwise I would go Dell simply because they are involved with Ubuntu.
Sadly they do not offer many pre-loaded but buy any laptop of your
choice with as much Intel components as possible. Again because Intel
provides good opensource drivers. While Nvidia graphics in theory are
better I find that the Intel just works "out of the box". Same goes for
wireless etc.
I am not going to say anything about screensize, cpu etc as basically
most modern laptops are good and it is up to you and your budget. If
anything I would avoid AMD processors due to personal experience.
