Press Ctrl+Alt+F1. Do you get a login prompt? If yes, log in with your
usual username and password and at the command prompt type:
sudo apt-get --reinstall install kubuntu-desktop
This will install a lot of packages, so you have to be on a fast
Internet connection.
However, in case you remember, which X packages you uninstalled, then
instead of reinstalling the entire kubuntu-desktop, install only those
packages back:
sudo apt-get install package1 package2 packageN
After reinstall, restart kdm:
sudo service kdm restart
If the system doesn't switch to graphical login dialogue automatically,
you may try switching to it with Alt+F7 or Alt+F8.
