Login issue 4.7

Hi all. My upgrade was interrupted by power failure. After resuming and
finishing all, I cannot login in X. After input of the password I have the
splash screen and only two of the icons appear - the disc one and setting
one. After that the PC freezes. I even tried to startx from konsole with the
same result.
Any help is appreciated.
