Sandisk sansa clip+ mp3 player

I have a new Sandisk sansa clip+ mp3 player to which I'd like to copy mp3 
files.  When I connect it to a usb port it appears when I run lsusb from the 
command line but it does not appear in Device Notifier or mount in /media.

I'm running Kubunt 10.10 .  Any idea why it's not showing up?
