Plymouth error

Plymouth has never really worked OK for me on any realeases so I was pleased 
when it worked in 11.04 on my "new" second-hand box. Well that lasted for 
about a week. Now I got the bluish screen from grub with a bit of white boot-
up info until KDM starts.

I noticed this in /var/log/syslog:

Jun 14 10:07:11 tanghus init: plymouth-stop pre-start process (1683) 
terminated with status 1

It's not a biggie for me but if anyone knows about this I'd appreciate hearing 
about it.
