Problems with natty kontact and calendars

Since the update to natty destroyed all my settings, I've been trying to
rebuild everything back the way it used to be (more or less).

I'm now trying to configure Kontact, but have hit a problem.

I imported a remote calendar (using webdav), but there are several problems
(probably all with a single cause):

1. Events on the calendar display OK, but the calendar seems to be read-only;
2. There seems to be no way to synchronise the remote calendar
3. There seems to be no way to remove the remote calendar from Kontact.

It used to be that my calendars were displayed in a panel in the bottom
left kontact panel, which would allow me to control each calendar easily.
But that no longer seems to be true (I can't find anywhere where the remote
calendar is listed anywhere -- I thought that maybe Settings | Sidebar |
Show Calendar Manager would be the secret, but that doesn't seem to change
anything at all on the display).

The Help suggests that Settings → Sidebar → Show Resource View and
Settings → Sidebar → Show Resource Buttons need to be checked... but those
options simply don't exist under Settings → Sidebar :-(

Any help greatly appreciated. (All this worked fine before the natty upgrade.)
