How to transfer kmail2 messages to Thunderbird?

Not for anything stored in the Akonadi framework it isn't :( but your
point is good.

You might find something in

/home/username/.local/share/local-mail/

I *think* kmail still stores 'Local Folders' mail here. This will be
maildir format and Thunderbird should be able to read it.
