email help

Many moons ago, there was Elm, (Electronic Mailer), which has been dying a
long slow death, though some have been trying to resurrect it. The
University of
Washington came out with it's own version, Pine, (now Alpine). Then there was
Mutt, and a bunch of wannabwees. These all operate in the console window,
not in a GUI. Both Alpine and Mutt are in the repositories, should you want
to look them over. Mutt is buggy as all getout, but Alpine is excellent.

This has nothing to do with properly setting up ssl/tls/smtp auth, which is what
I need help with. *sigh*
