Yes, I'm clicking the binoculars or using CTRL+F. I've tried parts of file
names (with and without wildcards) and complete file names (with or without
extension), but it always says "No items found" (translated from portuguese,
may be slightly different in english) when I do a search in this specific
folder I'm looking into..
I guess there's something wrong with indexing here. But I don't really need
desktop search, so I didn't bother trying to find out what's wrong with it. If
possible, I'd rather disable desktop search and go for a simple file system
search, like in the old days. Is it possible?
If not, I'll have to try fixing the desktop search... Is it a problem if the
folder I'm searching into is a soft link for a folder in another device (which
is indexed, of course)?
For example, I'm searching into the "folder" /home/marcelo/Videos, but Videos
is not a real folder, it is a soft link to /mnt/Storage_4TB/Videos.
Storage_4TB is indexed (well, I'm assuming it is, because it's not listed in
the "Do not search these places" box in System Settings -> Desktop Search).
Maybe this confuses Dolphin or Baloo when processing the search?
Thanks,
Marcelo
