Sure there are a lot of other tricks about shell commands and if you
want to explore the shell, it may be useful to look at the bash manual:
<http://www.gnu.org/software/bash/manual/>. If you are not too young,
you may prefer a printed book like "Learning the bash shell" by Cameron
Newham & Bill Rosenblatt.
OTOH, it seems a bit OT here to me because it isn't specific to Kubuntu.
Nowadays most things can be done with GUI tools which is more intuitive
for most people. And it would be specific to Kubuntu. :)
