Scan for wireless connections

Hi all,
	Just got me a new wireless router to replace my dead one.  When I tried to add the connection to my laptop I noticed that there is no longer a button to scan for new wireless connections in network manager 0.9.8.  I remember there used to be one there.  I didn't see any other way to add wireless connections and I'm not getting anything useful with google.  Can anybody tell me where the scan option is?
