Try changing device priority for video in the Device Preferences for video to your
HDMI output. You might try editing different sections to prefer different devices. I
find that often flash video (ie youtube) does not follow the "rules", for example.
Another thing to try is, while playing a video, open Kmix, right-click somewhere on the
output stream for vlc or dragon, and move the output to the desired device.
I don't think it is a kmix problem per se, though you might try veromix just to see if it
make it easier to manage this for you.
