 I would recommend that you use "apt-get upgrade" in a konsole.
I had to do that when my System Upgrade kept telling me
that is did not get authorization when it did not even ask
me for my password.  That solved that problem.
Don't know if the devs are going to fix the System Upgrade
password problem or not.
