Possibly, but I doubt it. Most of the bad motherboard caps of the plague era
were made before LGA775 was introduced. If those bigger caps are all
Pansonic, Chemicon (UCC) or Rubycon, not likely caps are his problem.

eBay caps are sometimes counterfeit. I only buy caps from mouser.com or
digikey.com.
