Wrong Desktop layout in Kubuntu 14.04

I think it has installed the netbook interface, given the type of
laptop. Find System Settings, go to Workspace Behaviour and select
"Workspace". There is a box "Workspace Type", change from Netbook to
Desktop and reboot
